Old pine floors often need varying degrees of renovation prior
to sanding and sealing. We repair split/broken boards where possible. We will
exchange ¨odd¨ new boards that often crop up in the middle of an otherwise
original floor, for re-claim timber of a similar age or we will salvage boards
from another room in the house (if available) to maintain the original patina
of the wood when sanded and lacquered. We will then re-lay new pine in the cannibalised
room.
We will also break
up unwanted hearths, reinstate joist work and re-run floorboards
where required.

and re-run .
Should we detect any wood-worm, damp
or dry-rot whilst we are working, we can offer a complete renovation
and treatment package with repairs/replacement of joists, support
plates and boards, along with expert spraying and preventative
measures. We also supply and fit air-bricks to properly ventilate
joist work.
